A very unusual Victorian leather skulled Albert pattern Officers helmet, circa 1855 of "The Queens Own Royal Yeomanry" (Staffordshire Yeomanry).
The black leather skulled helmet with black horse hair plume & white metal fittings, the centre of the helmet plate with a gilt knot & garter, the inside of the helmet skull has a paper makers label for Andrews of Pall Mall, Makers to Her Majesty.
The helmet is contained in its original tin fitted with a brass name plate detailing the owners name & regiment( Major,Honorable W Bagot, 20 RY).
Overall the helmet is in excellent order, the plume is missing its securing nut.
