A mid 17th Century European lobster tailed helmet of a style often refered to as a "Dutch Pot". Overall this is a clean example with a good aged patina. One ear flap is detached and one rivet is broken that holds the nasal bar guide to the skull but otherwise a nice example in untouched condition. Due to a shortage of armour during the English Civil War armour such as this would have been imported into England to help supply the demand to.
