A Fine pair of Classic English early 19th century cased duelling pistols by Durs Egg, London.
Each pistol with browned octagonal sighted barrel with two gold-inlaid lines at the breech & signed in gold along the top flat D.EGG, LONDON, gold-lined touch-hole, tang engraved with foliage and a stand of arms, signed engraved case-hardened flat bevelled detented lock with sliding safety catch, gold lined semi-rainproof pan and roller frizzen, adjustable set trigger, well figured walnut half-stock with chequered butt.
The pistols are contained in their original green baize lined mahogany fitted case with brass D shaped lifting handle in the lid and with the makers trade label along with various accoutrements including a red leather powder flask, bullet mould & turn screw.
