A interesting "Royal Cheshire Militia" spadroon with steel hilt & a reeded ivory grip mounted with a cigar band bearing the royal motif with the letter "C" in the centre . The faded 32" blue and gilt single edged blade by Thos Gill of Birmingham etched with GR III and with the initials RCM below a Crown & "Guaranteed Never To Fail". The steel mounted leather scabbard with period replacement bottom mount and with an old repair 9" from the bottom of the scabbard & a split across the front face of the leather just below the top mount. 38.5" Overall Length.Circa 1800.
