An early 18th Century English flintlock brass barrelled blunderbuss  in need of some minor restoration.

The blunderbuss with 15.25" proof stamped octagonal to round three stage flared brass barrel, walnut full stock with brass furniture, lacking ramrod. As can be seen in the images it is lacking a frizzen, top of flint cock comb & top jaw & screw along with one lock plate retaining screw, there is also a small amount of wood loss under the lock plate. The lock plate is engraved with the makers signature, this is quite faint but is possibly "Clarkson".

This is a very nice blunderbuss in untouched sleepy condition & will make an excellent addition to any collection with some minor restoration!

Overall length 29" (74cm)
