TERMS OF BUSINESS
All items are guaranteed to be authentic and we endeavour to describe all the items on our website in full detail and to the best of our knowledge.
All items are sold as antique collector’s items only and are not intended for use.
It is highly likely that items offered for sale on our website have had a working life and so it is entirely possible that an item may have been repaired or had replacement parts fitted during this time.
It is the Purchasers responsibility to pay any Customs Duties or taxes etc that maybe levied in the country of import and to ensure that goods purchased comply with laws and import restrictions for the country of delivery and supply the relevant paperwork/ permits including CITES permits that may be required to accompany the goods when shipped.
Under The Offensive Weapons Act of 2019 UK Buyers must supply proof that they are over 18 years old, no item will be shipped until we have received a copy of the buyers proof of age such as a copy of the buyers passport or driving licence! Also someone over the age of 18 years old is required to sign for the delivery!
We comply in full with the terms of of the Offensive Weapons Act 2019 & as such for both our security & that of the purchaser we do not offer an online cart payment service & would therefore ask all prospective purchasers to contact us for full information regarding purchase & terms of shipping etc.
Payment
We accept payment by the following methods:
Bank Transfer (Purchaser to pay all bank charges relating to the transaction)
Personal Cheque or Bankers Draft (Goods will be despatched once funds have cleared)
All goods will remain the property of Jason Akeroyd (antiquearmourer.com) until payment has been received in full at which point title will pass to the purchaser.
Shipping
All goods will be sent by Courier or shipping agent on a traceable service requiring a signature on receipt, We are not able to ship items outside the UK by couriers such as Fedex, Parcelforce,& UPS etc as they will no longer ship antique weapons so all items shipped outside the UK will be shipped on an Airport to Airport service and it is the customers responsibility to arrange Customs Clearance & collection or onward courier service to the customers delivery address. We use Parfrieght for international shipping, please contact us for a shipping quotation! Couriers & Shippers will not insure antiques but we may be able to get a seperate Goods in Transit Insurance quote on request but there will be an additional charge for this otherwise it is the purchasers responsibility to have insurance cover in place if so required. It is the purchaser’s responsibility to inspect the goods and packaging on arrival and notify the delivery agent and ourselves immediately if it appears damaged or tampered with(evidence to be retained).
Should the delivery agent be unable to deliver the goods due to the recipient being unavailable any surcharge for redelivery will be the responsibility of the purchaser.
Returns
If for some reason the purchaser is unhappy with the goods due to those goods not being as described they should contact us by telephone on receipt & in writing within seven working days and if a satisfactory resolution is not found the goods may be returned within ten days of receipt, the purchase price will be refunded minus shipping costs along with any transaction related charges as long as the goods are returned in the same condition as originally shipped. The goods shall be returned fully insured at the purchaser’s expense via a trackable service and should be returned securely in the original packaging where possible and if not packaged to the same standard.
