A clean 1803 pattern Infantry officers sabre with lionshead pommel, brass knuckle bow bearing the GR cypher, wire bound rayskin grip and curved 26.5" blade contained in its original brass mounted leather scabbard. The etched blade would originally have had a blued and gilt finish but only the gilding remains. A very nice example!

A very nice English hunting hanger circa 1770-80 with an iron lionshead pommel, spiraled ivory grip( lacking ribbon wrap) and an engraved fretwork crossguard with chain link knucklebow coonected to the pommel.The 24.5" curved single edged blade with races of engraved decoration. The tooled leather scabbard with engraved iron mounts(broken below throat mount). This style of hanger would have been used during the American Revolution.

A Scottish basket hilted sword with a single edged blade with twin fullers running to within 6" of the tip of the 34.5" blade. The sword is untouched and covered in a black patina which would clean off quite easily, the grip is now lacking but one original turks head remains.

The steel hilt with traces of original burnished finish & with fine wire bound leather grip,the backstrap with bulbous pommel and finely engraved scrollwork ears & a single knuckle bow.The 33" curved damacus blade decorated with gilt Arabic style figure and script. The scabbard engraved with a lozenge near the throat bearing the makers name and details.

A 1796 Cavalry Officers sabre by Thomas Gill & dated 1798. Externaly the sword has been refurbished with a plate finish but the etched blade retains 95%+ of its original bright etched finish(One of the nicest etched blades we have seen) and has the owners crest and monagram etched on one side of the blade.
We believe the sword belonged to Brigadier-General Sir Andrew Dunlop.
