1796 Pattern Officers Sabre by Thos Gill
A 1796 Cavalry Officers sabre by Thomas Gill & dated 1798. Externaly the sword has been refurbished with a plate finish but the etched blade retains 95%+ of its original bright etched finish(One of the nicest etched blades we have seen) and has the owners crest and monagram etched on one side of the blade. 1796 Infantry Officers Sword
A very nice 1796 pattern infantry officers sword by Tatham with blue and gilt blade. The blade signed Runkel solingen retains around 75% its original blue and gilt finish. The hilt and scabbard mounts also retain much of the original gilt finish. The leather of the scabbard has shrunk slightly which stops the blade going all the way into the scabbard by about 3/4".
