A 19th century brass barrelled flintlock blunderbuss by Brunton of York, the walnut stock with engraved steel mounts and brass barrel fitted with a spring bayonet. This is a very nice example in uncleaned condition, there is a slight gap at the front of the lock plate possibly caused during its working life when the lock plate has been removed for cleaning or repair.

A very rare Crespi System British Military Rifle by Durs Egg. This rifle retains virtualy all its original finish and its original spear point bayonet. Durs Egg was given an order on 25 Dec 1782 to supply two of these guns for trials by the Board of Ordance and in 1785 another order for a further 30 all to be fitted with Jonathan Hennem's screwless lock. We think that this rifle could be one of the original two manufactured by Egg as it is fitted with a standard lock and not the Hennem pattern.... more info |
