1796 Infantry Officers Sword
A very nice 1796 pattern infantry officers sword by Tatham with blue and gilt blade. The blade signed Runkel solingen retains around 75% its original blue and gilt finish. The hilt and scabbard mounts also retain much of the original gilt finish. The leather of the scabbard has shrunk slightly which stops the blade going all the way into the scabbard by about 3/4".
